Mayoral and Broxtowe campaigns shortlisted for awards

Two of our client campaigns have been shortlisted for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations industry awards.

The 2024 ‘Here, Not There’ vote campaign which aimed to drive up the public vote for the East Midlands Combined County Authority which was a collaboration between over 27 different organsations, including all councils in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Derby and Nottingham, has been shortlisted as best public sector campaign. Since the election, which returned Mayor of the East Midlands, Claire Ward the County Combined Authority has been investing millions into the region with initiatives to boost skills, jobs, transport and the visitor economy.

Meanwhile, Stapleford Towns Fund has also been shortlisted for the ‘Not For Profit’ award. The Fund from HM Government  has delivered a £21.1m regeneration programme to the Nottinghamshire town, including high street renewal, a community and sports centre, the country’s first outdoor training track for those with visual impairments and is set to open an Enterprise Centre later in the year. The Town Board made up of councillors, business owners and community champions, as well as officers from Broxtowe Borough Council has made a huge difference to the town.

Both campaigns are perfect examples of the power of collaborative working and public relations generating real change.

Results will be announced at a Birmingham awards ceremony in April.
