Welcome Gaby: our brilliant new hire
Nottingham based public relations agency, BakerBaird Communications, has added to its roster of staff by bringing in an experienced NHS director of communications.
Gaby Taylor (nee Insley) has 16 years’ public and third sector communications expertise, with a specialism in health.
She has worked on national campaigns for the Department of Health, regional NHS projects and led the regional marcomms for the British Heart Foundation. Most recently she was Director of Communications for Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.
Gaby also worked for 12 years delivering major national PR campaigns for Whitehall including clients such as the Department of International Trade, Home Office, Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy department and Ministry of Housing Communities & Local Government.

BakerBaird was recently shortlisted for two Chartered Institute of Public Relations awards. The first is for integrated campaigning which launched a device developed to save babies lives in Africa. The second award is for delivering widespread national and regional media coverage including in the Financial Times and BBC4’s Today Programme for a major independent inquiry, the UK2070 Commission.
The company works with the Foreign Office & Commonwealth Office, the NHS, Universities and a range of regional and national businesses, including one of the UK’s most prominent technology venture builders, an award-winning design engineer, a global professional services specialist and two charities.
