BakerBaird awards shortlist bridges two nations

CIPR PRide 2016BakerBaird were shortlisted this week for their work in both England and Scotland in the prestigious Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards.

In Scotland, work with client NHS Education for Scotland has been shortlisted for Best use of design in PR, while in the Midlands, Stuart Baird has been shortlisted for outstanding independent practitioner of the year.

Director Richard Baker said: "We are only seven months into our business and started by picking up an award for best public sector campaign, so to be shortlisted again in such a short space of time is a great honour. We know we are up against serious competition in both Scotland and the Midlands which boasts some of the best PR outfits from anywhere in the UK and beyond."

Work with NHS Education for Scotland has included digital content marketing and using graphic design to help recruit medics into the country as well as educate and raise standards across its 168,000 strong workforce.

Fellow director Stuart Baird added: "To be selected for a CIPR award is great honour and I know how rigorous the shortlisting and awards system is. The Chartered Institute gives a great deal to professionals, from continuing professional development to rigorous codes of conduct which gives clients confidence in who they work with.

"Many professionals not only work incredibly hard for their clients, employers and themselves but also give their time freely and extensively to mentor, support and develop one another and those just entering the profession."

  • Over 1,000 entries received from public relations teams, consultancies and individuals across the UK
